The 6th European Conference on the Conservation of Wild Plants under working title: "Actions for wild plants" will take place on the 23rd to 27th of May 2011 in Cracow [Krakow], Poland.
Organizers: 1) Planta Europa Foundation, 2) W. Szafer Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences
Conference goal: to assess implementation of the 5 targets of the European Plant Conservation Strategy (EPCS), revised and agreed until 2014 by the 5th Planta Europa Conference in Cluj-Napoca: 1. Understanding and documenting plant diversity; 2. Conserving plant diversity; 3. Using plant diversity sustainably; 4. Promoting education and awareness about plant diversity; 5. Increasing capacity for the plant conservation.
Among side-events, excursions are planned (as 2-4 alternative 1-day trips of various themes and degree of difficulty), showing diversity of flora and nature protection in Cracow region.
